Ownership and scope
Unless a specific item expressly states otherwise, every photograph, photographic sequence and displayed crop on this website is an original work authored by Michaël De Block and is protected by copyright and related applicable rights. All economic rights are reserved.
Michaël De Block also asserts his moral rights, including the right to be identified as author and the right to object to prejudicial distortion, mutilation or other modification, wherever those rights are recognised. The LeBloc Pur™ name, identity and visual marks may not be used in a manner that suggests permission, endorsement, partnership or affiliation.
02
Access is not a licence
Access to this website permits ordinary personal viewing only. No licence, assignment, waiver or transfer of copyright is created by publication, access, technical availability, missing metadata or the absence of a notice beside an individual image.
Temporary technical copies made automatically and solely as necessary to display the website are not permission for any further use. A print purchase transfers ownership of that physical copy only; it does not transfer copyright or grant reproduction, publication or commercial-use rights.
03
Uses requiring prior written permission
Except where applicable law expressly provides a mandatory exception, prior written permission from Michaël De Block is required before any photograph or substantial part of the website may be:
- downloaded, copied, captured or otherwise reproduced;
- reposted, published, distributed, transmitted, embedded, hotlinked or made available on another service;
- printed, sold, licensed, merchandised, exhibited, advertised or used for any commercial, editorial or promotional purpose;
- cropped, recoloured, filtered, retouched, composited, animated or incorporated into another work;
- used in a social-media post, moodboard, portfolio, contest, presentation, publication, archive or image library;
- tokenised, minted, registered or offered as an NFT or other blockchain-linked asset;
- used to imitate, derive or market work under the LeBloc Pur™ name or identity.
04
Text, data mining and artificial intelligence
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all rights are expressly reserved for text and data mining under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and under any corresponding or successor law. This reservation applies to all content and image files made available through this website.
No content may be scraped, extracted, indexed into a private dataset or used for machine learning, computer vision, model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, embeddings, retrieval systems, synthetic-data generation or generative artificial intelligence without a separate prior written licence. This reservation does not purport to exclude a statutory exception that applicable law makes mandatory and non-waivable.
06
Integrity, metadata and source files
Copyright, authorship, provenance and rights-management metadata must not be removed, concealed or altered where applicable law prohibits that conduct. The availability of a web-resolution file does not authorise reconstruction, enlargement or use as a substitute for an authorised print or licensed master file.
Original RAW files, catalogues, export records and dated archives are retained as evidence of authorship and creation. Technical measures used by this website supplement the legal rights; they do not replace them or imply that unblocked conduct is permitted.
07
Permission and licensing
Permission is valid only when granted in writing by Michaël De Block and must identify the work and the intended use. Requests should include the title or page, medium, purpose, territory, duration, audience, publication date and whether any alteration is proposed.
A request does not create permission. No use may begin until the scope, credit, fee and other conditions have been confirmed in a separate written licence.
Request permission08
Unauthorised use and enforcement
Suspected unauthorised use may be documented and preserved as evidence. The rights holder may seek removal, platform or host action, disclosure, cessation, compensation, recovery of applicable costs and any other remedy available under the law governing the infringement.
Removal after notice does not by itself settle a prior infringement or waive any claim. Nothing in this notice limits any right or remedy that exists independently under applicable copyright, moral-rights, unfair-practice or other law.
09
Exceptions, law and interpretation
Mandatory copyright exceptions and limitations remain governed by the law applicable to the particular use. Nothing here is intended to remove a right that cannot legally be excluded.
This notice is governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to mandatory rules, international treaties and conflict-of-law rules that apply to a specific dispute. To the extent a forum clause is legally permitted, disputes are submitted to the competent courts of Antwerp, Belgium.
If one part of this notice is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. This notice is an express reservation of rights and does not replace a separately agreed licence, print-sale agreement or commission agreement.
